Daily Trip Report - July 11, 2003
Had lunch with Arben instead - as amusing as ever. Hotel Victory meeting - interesting to hear a successful Kosovar businessman talk about the shortcomings of the other Kosovar businessmen who are not successful. It's not just Americans who think the economy is in dire straits and think we know what needs to be done to fix it, but there are Kosovars who recognize the problem as well as the solution.
Hotel Baci for coffee - a real nice looking hotel.
just outside of Pristina w/Luan, Dastid & Ardian. Interestingly, the
guy who just opened the new restaurant invested $200k to open this place.
There are a dispropoptinately large number of cafes & restaurants
for such a small city with no jobs. Since I was here in January [2003;
report] there are tons of new restaurants and bars - it is really
noticeable and kind of strange.
