Jill Wechsler -

Nicole and I met up in the morning.

Met with Fatime Hoxha, a Hope Fellow who works in the employment ministry. We discussed the business and leadership clinic. She thinks it is a good idea and is needed in Kosovo. She will be happy to help when the center is opened. I think she will be a good resource for advice on starting businesses that will employ more than a few people. She does not like that the Young Leadership Council is planned to be open only to people aged 35 and younger. This seems important to her, so I will ask others about this. We also discussed her experience with the Hope Fellowship program. I was impressed by how much she feels she gained from it. To her, the major benefit was that she learned that she could think for herself and make decisions for herself. Perhaps this is something we might like to emphasize in the Young Leadership Council.

Set several appointments for later this week.

Visited the Law Faculty. Xevdet was not there. Stopped by the Human Rights Resource Center. Met Liridon and scheduled appointment for tomorrow afternoon. Met a student named Ilir Zeneli from the Economics Faculty who is working in the Human Rights Resource Center. He is very interested in the business and leadership clinic, and wants to be kept appraised of any developments. He seems to have progressive ideas.

I met Jehona from ABA CEELI. We tried to get my lost baggage back; then, Nicole, Jehona, and I went for coffee. Jehona is extremely nice and intelligent, so I am glad that I will be able to count on her for help while I am here.
Nicole and I had dinner with Wendy from ABA CEELI. Discussed various projects that CEELI and Kent might want to work together on in the future.

Nicole, Jehona, and I spent the evening at Valza'a with Valza and her mother.
