Wechsler - Picked up
the copy of Compendium Volume 3 and got another book of laws from Luan
to copy tomorrow. Over the weekend Luan found an extra copy of volume
3, so he gave us an original. So now we have TWO copies. :) I also delivered
the FOIA materials to the Prime Minister's office and to UNMIK. I had
very little trouble delivering them to UNMIK, but at the Prime Minister's
office I had to wait 30 minutes for an interpreter to come to the front
desk to explain what was to be done with the papers I was turning in.
I met Arben
at the law faculty at 2. We thought there was supposed to be a meeting
about translating the reports from the externship participants, but there
was confusion about the day. So then we just left to come to Ferizaj.
We rode a bus and arrived at his family's home just outside town around
3:15. Had some food, visited with the family, visited Bondsteel briefly,
and spent some time exploring downtown. There is a street that is blocked
off for cars after 6 pm. The street is lined with cafes and clubs and
filled with people walking back and forth from one end to the other. Arben
and his family say that Monday and Friday nights are the most crowded.
It is interesting to compare the evening activities of people here with
the streets of Pristina around this time. |
